so my cell phone fell into the toilet.....

Let it dry out first. Take out the battery and sim (if you have one). Let it all dry out. Same thing happened to me. I'm sitting there, i feel a splash, I SCREAM: "I didn't start yet!" 🙁

Mine fell into the toilet once, when I was really drunk. I let it dry overnight, and it doesn't get past the sprint logo. Hope yours works.

Wouldnt it fall onto the ground next to the toilet?

i was wearing a sweater with a hand warmer...a black adidas one from jcpennys. anyway, i was doing my business and it fell out the side since i was wearing gymshorts with no pockets. it fell PERFECTLY into the bowl..didn't hit the sides and smash up.....luckily the phone was off before though. ill let it dry for a little longer...prolly post an update in under an hour.

Mine worked. I took the battery out, left it to dry overnight near a radiator, worked almost OK eventually, but the speaker died a bit and the screen was slightly off, but it mostly worked.

I'd let it dry at the very least overnight.

i jumped the gun and tried it. it worked at first just enough for me to check vmail. its crapped out, so far. ill let it dry over night and try again. so far, no good.

Good that it was off when it dropped in, but I would've definitely took the cover off and let it dry for 2 days or so before turning it on. Something likely fried when you just tried it since it probably wasn't fully dried out/

I had this situation happen once. I immediatly took the phone out of the toilet and turned it off (phone was on at the time). Tried to turn it on a few minutes later and it was messed up. I then let the phone sit for about two days. Over this two days I would check it out and see if it worked and finally it did actually work right. For a couple months, everything was fine on the phone except the star button did not work. Even the camera worked perfectly. Now, almost six months after this happened, the phone works as good as it did before -- even the star key works. Good luck!

its dead, iv dropped a couple in the sink while i was doing dished tried to dry em out and all the other stuff you would think that would work, no go just suck it up and get another phone 😀

Let it dry for a few days. I wouldn't take a chance in starting it up if it's got any liquid in it. Small electronics are kind of sensitive when the wire paths are so close together.

You could try air drying it with a dryer if you need your phone sooner then later. I recommend you let it sit around for a few days anyway just to be sure.

crappy deal man.

As others have said - just let it dry out, even a bit longer than you think is required... just to make sure it's dry... it'll be fine.
