So my 9800 pro just died on me...

So I just had a 9800pro fry on me for no apparent reason, and am completly lost on the Nvidia model numbers- I would like to go to an Nvidia card around the $200 range that would hopefull give me better performans...what should I be looking for? I would just go research but I need a replacment soon and am bogged down in HW and work...
I dont care if the $200 is used or new.
Thanks

Definately try and find a used 6800 series card. The 5900 series, imo, isn't going to give any noticable difference to show that you've actually upgraded from a 9800 pro.

5900<9800 pro imo, if you want to upgrade to PCIe, go with 6600gt, if you want to stick with AGP, go with another 9800pro or 6800nu, they are the two best deals for AGP imo.

If it died for no reason and you haven't modded or overclocked it, why not RMA it? ATI is very good with their RMAs in my experience.

I stuck a VGA Silencer on it a few months ago and dont have the original heatsink
