So much for good customer service from Antec...

Hey guys,

After seeing this thread I was pretty convinced that Antec would replace a broken part on my Antec P160 with no hassle.

I sent out an email a month back about a replacement for the I/O panel for my case. Within 2 days, I got an email saying that my parts would be sent out in a day or two. Well, a month passed and I didn't receive any parts. I emailed Antec again to get this response:

Comment: David Francisco no longer works with us, The part he was going to send you needs to be RMA'd, we can not just send one out. Please send in the swivel panel for an RMA.

I'm pretty angry, as there's no way I'm going to go through an RMA process for a part that was already "shipped" to me. What do you guys advise me to do?

TIA,
Darren

Try calling or sending an email to someone else. A few years ago the clips on one of my Antec case panels wore out and they sent me a new one at no charge, didn't even have to pay shipping. Must depend on who's handling your RMA.

I recently asked them for the white tool box for the P180. They mailed it to me in 2-3 days. They had to pay $4.05 to send it to me.

Good folks, yo.

Hey, just because they're not sending you something for nothing doesn't mean they have bad customer service. Just mail them the part. Sorry if "they" told you one thing and you have to do another, but it was one guy who probably got fired for sending out too many parts or hooking up his friends.

I tried sending out another trouble ticket. Apparently I got a different person, but the same copy/paste job. This time, the reply was : "we need the swivel panel back".

Galvanized, I will shoot off an email later today and tell you how it goes.

i got a replacement door for my solo through francisco iirc. i had to email follow up a coule times but he finally got my door, no charge or shipping and more importantly, no returning the defective.

are they paying for you to ship it back? what if this was for a customer of yours? you wait all this time and this is the resolution? bah, that would rub me in such the wrong way it'd likely be my last purchase of any of their products.

Rise, thats almost exact what I was thinking. After I was promised the parts a month ago, I would be in trouble if this case was not my personal case.

What Antec wants me to do is go through the standard RMA process, like ship it back, get it approved, and get it shipped. I'd have to pay for the shipping, not to mention the delay.

Acynic, the case is 2 years old and is covered by antec's AQ3 warrentee.

well, hopefully they'll come to their senses. i have the door they sent me, 3lbs of shipping you have to pay. but really, why do they need it back? they think this is some grift you pull on unsuspecting case manufacturers 😛

that reflects poorly on antec imo.

I ordered two of their 200mm fans (the ones used in the Antec Ninehundred) from their store, paid via paypal and got a call on my cell a few hours later saying that my order was ready to be picked up (asked for will call pickup). I'd say that would qualify as good customer service.
