SO MANY TEMPERATURES!~

Ok...i'm a bit baffled here about my CPU's temps. I have already posted (and gotten replies) about the fact that my CPU's HSF not being mounted correctly (with a TMG i1), so I'll be fixing that soon. However, what's eating me is that multiple programs are giving me way different CPU temp readings.

I mean, atleast give me CONSTANT answers.

My E6400 is not OC'd and I have no idea what temps i've got. (however, when i wasn't OC'd with my stock HSF i got temps around 35 C in PC Probe. This is my only relative measurement)

Core Temp .95 : 50 C idling
Intel TAT: 50 C idling
Speed Fan: 34 C idling
Asus PC probe II: 40 C idling (from other forums i'm told PC probe isn't all that accurate...)

oh also, another question. In speedfan, there's one temperature that's at 122 C and its labelled "Aux".... .... last time i checked 100C was BOILING for water...holy cow. i think that's an error.

Try coretemp and rmclock. Speedfan is known to have issue at least with quad core chips (it incorrectly displays the temp by 15 °C too cool).
