so many stars

And in this country about 40% of the people think this was all made by some raging sadistic god thing, because he loves us, and if we don't kowtow to him correctly he will burn you in a fire forever and ever and ever and ever ..................

Einstein pretty much nailed it when he said " Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." Another of his theorems that is proving painfully correct.

Bullshit. I see a couple dozen stars, tops. Thanks car dealer for wasting electricity, and making it look like a stadium around here :^S

It is indeed incredible just how many there are, and if you have a telescope what you thought was 2 visible stars next to each other, there are 100's more in between. (from our point of view) and it just keeps going. The universe it's so vast beyond imagination. Crazy to think some people even consider the fact it just spurted out of no where for no reason.

If only I gain weight from eating burritos, I would go to chipotle every day. Unfortunately I don't, so it's a waste of money.

I see a couple of stars from time to time where I work, but they're C list wannabes and past their prime used to be stars.

before all the development where I lived as a kid, you could see stars, constellations and even the Milky Way (arm of Orion) at night. It was completely black at night unless the moon was out. I spent many nights staring up into that night sky and being amazed at it all.

:sneaky:
And some would say that that's still immensely more likely than the creator who spurted out of no where for no reason, and even less likely than the creator who simply said "Screw you guys, I'm going home" to causality, and that we are little swirls of orderly turbulence from that explosion.

The sky looked particularly clear last night and full of bright stars. Is it just winter and the cold clear nights that is making it look so nice? Maybe I just haven't looked up in a while.

im no space scientist but i think i see a planet. its hard to tell but its got kinda a red-ish color to it. not sure about the cold thing, but lately i've been able to see more stars than usual.

clear night sky is frickin pimp, I live in a pretty sparsely populated area and I can see alot of stars, especially when I go out on the frozen lake

depends on where you are looking.

In the summer after 11PM look south about 45degrees or so up and a little to your left. Look for a yellow-brown object moving east to west. You should be able to spot it fairly easily. That is Saturn. You can see it all summer.

I'm out there after dark every night. When I come back from the barn, even on the coldest of nights - especially on the coldest of nights, I stop and gaze up at the stars for a while. I love how much more visible the Pliades are on some nights, compared to other nights. (Not including when they're not above the horizon.)

Great way to ruin a great thread. You HAD to bring religion into a non-religious thread ... simply about stars.

Why don't you do the right thing and keep your beliefs to yourself ... the only one who really cares what you think. I'll do the same ...

Moron ...
