I recommend sticking with the GTX 460 768MB. Reviews show that it is almost as fast as the 1GB but sells less, espcially right now with rebates offered on many cards since it is being replaced by the slower GTX 550 Ti. See this review of both versions:

Keep in mind that FPS differences over 40 or 50 FPS won't be noticeable in game play or affect performance. You can go to this page for some hints and suggestions on finding good reviews and evaluating them:

Another page at the same site has suggestions for selecting brands which seems to be one of your issues:

I would choose the EVGA GTX 460 768MB at $140 AR

Note that they had a similar EVGA card on sale AR for only $110. You might try a wait and watch strategy to see if other bargains turn up, if you are not in a big hurry.
sorry, i've got one and I would definitely recommend not going above 1680x1050 with the 768mb card. it keeps to within ~ 10% of the 1 gb card at lower res, but at higher res the 1gb starts to really pull away. plus, modern games can get dangerously close to the memory limit at higher resolutions, and often even exceed it. The baseline for current true midrange is 1gb these days. that's why nvidia is charging more for the gtx 550 than the gtx 460 768, even though the 768 is generally much faster.
@OP: that's a nice looking card, that cooler should enable some nice overclocking!
