CC is closing up shop. and has asked to clearance all merchandise before closing.

Maybe we'll get some decent deals, or maybe it'll be a reprise of CompUSA.

Sad. Another major electronics retailer down the tubes. Not surprising however as most of us buy online now anyway. If you can't compete on price, you've got nothing.

Sad indeed. Now, in most areas, the only chain electronic store is BB, and they will have a virtual monopoly, so don't look for many deals from them.

I went into a couple of the stores closing here, and even after 40% off the prices were not competitive, not at all a surprise they are closing. The "deal" that got me just shaking my head the most was a 14" Gateway with inferior specs to the one I got in BB about 4 months ago for $450, with no OS, Hdd crashed, no battery, sold 'as is no warranty' for $610. I'd give them $200 to have a spare display and motherboard, but 50% over what I paid for trashed junk, just close your doors and don't waste our time pls.
