I also include 5 MRE's, my knife (not shown), spare surefire batteries, my surefire E2D, a leatherman, and some cash. I also keep another 10 AR mags and some extra buckshot in the trunk of my car or the backseat of my pickup, where I have the rifle and the shotgun stashed, just in case. I carry the stuff with me wherever I go just in case - zombie invasions, disaster, social unrest, liberal in the white house, etc.

I have many other handguns and rifles and whatnot, but these are the chosen ones to take the abuse and torture of getting carried around all day.

Custom hand built sniper rifle on a Rem 700PSS magnum action in .300 WM with a 26" powder coated Navy SEAL sniper bull barrel. Yeah the scope isn't worthy, but I find it hard to plop down $1500 on the Nightforce scope I want for a gun I hardly shoot (ammo cost, barrel life and throat errosion on magnums, etc):
