I carry the shotgun and the rifle in my vehicle wherever I go, and one of the two handguns is with me 100% of the time, just depends on what I feel like carrying. The rifle is a Bushy M4gery with aftermarket flash supressor, handguards, vertical foregrip, and flashlight with pressure-activated switch. The handguns are a Glock19 and a 1911a1, and the shotgun is a Mossberg 500 special purpose.

Carry Weapons

I also have a large Camelbak that is set up as my bug-out bag. There are 10 extra AR mags, 20 rounds of 00 Buck for the shotgun, and 200 rounds of both 9mm and .45 in the bag. I also include 5 MRE's, my knife (not shown), spare surefire batteries, my surefire E2D, a leatherman, and some cash. I also keep another 10 AR mags and some extra buckshot in the trunk of my car or the backseat of my pickup, where I have the rifle and the shotgun stashed, just in case. I carry the stuff with me wherever I go just in case - zombie invasions, disaster, social unrest, liberal in the white house, etc.

I have many other handguns and rifles and whatnot, but these are the chosen ones to take the abuse and torture of getting carried around all day.

So what do you do?

I work in IT (Wireless Network Engineer).

I would rather have and not need all that stuff than need it and not have it.

WTF could you POSSIBLY need that much firepower for? Are you fighting off a Russian Armored division or something? I would say a .45 is PLENTY for self-defense.

A single .45 enough for self defense , yes. If something BAD were to ever happen , ADAIRUSMC, bro I'm coming to your house with my wife if something goes down , and I'll bring my stash and generator and I'll help board up the doors and windows and we can take turns at watch should it ever come to that.

Honestly, I hope the police/ FBI dont raid your house by accident and discover this stockpile of fire arms. lol... Even with permits, that ****** looks like your planning something.

And here is one of the big things wrong with this country today.

I am just pointing out an obvious fact...

If some law enforcement official sees 20 rifles, and 15 pistols, he will wonder WHY.

they shouldn't ask "WHY?" He does because he CAN. Because we as AMERICANS have the RIGHT to bear arms. If Americans didn't have arms like that , we wouldn't be the country we are today. And when you start thinking this is wrong , you let Government start making policy that takes these away from us all , then who are we to defend ourselves should the government become corrupt or unjust?
 to all that exercise your rights responsibly and in a manner that reflects a positive attitude among gun owners.

Should a mass Zombie invasion happen whoever thinks that single pistol is more than enough will be out of ammo and dead before he or she could really even help anyone.
let's just hope we don't have anything crazy like that go down....no liberals in the White house either! LOL

I want everyone to please note that a condom is not in any of the tiers. From this I can conclude that the OP has accepted their won't be any fornicating in his future under any circumstances.

He is a realist.

Wow. Now I know who not to piss off on ATOT.

I am all for the right to bear arms (and I do own a hand gun) but if I ever found my self in a situation where I thought I need to carry a weapon with me I would seriously have to reevaluate my life and where I live.

And then there are those of us who don't feel like posting our weapons on the internet. We prefer to keep some things a surprise... ;)

You guys have changed my opinion of IT (Wireless Network Engineer) type work. It appears that you guys are in an incredibly dangerous proffession which requires you to be prepared at all times. I wish you guys safety on the battlefield.

Hey, me too!

Even that's becoming a bit of a hassle though, having to take it off and leave it in the car every time I go to the courthouse/airport/other security checkpoint.

H&K USP .40 on me at all times, nothing special to me to carry, just another thing I grab on the way out with my wallet, cell phone, keys, watch, a 3.5" folding utility knife, etc. I don't bother with CCW because a) I live in AZ, b) I'm fairly big and a full size .4x frame doesn't bother me and c) I don't intend on carrying anything small enough to conceal.

At the house, AR-15 .223, BAR-10 .308, M1A .308, Mossberg 590 12ga, custom .300 win mag sub 1/4 moa sniper rifle, Yugo M59/66 SKS, WASR-10 AK-47, and a few others. Also a few HTH weapons: a Sog 2000 fixed blade combat knife, a few utility knives and multi tools, and various spears and pole arms that are wall decor but are fully functional, etc.

Have about 500-1000 rds of ammo for every caliber, including about 100 rds of hand loaded match ammo (sized and spec'ed especially for that rifle and loaded by the same guy who built it) for the sniper rifle. I'm not preparing for the apocalypse or anything, the stockpile is actually quite unintentional; I'm just an enthusiast and go to the range often so I buy ammo online by the case/crate for the savings and convenience. It is merely a secondary consequence that I am well armed should the need arise ;) I admit though a few of my rifle choices were based on calibers several of my friends have for commonality and tactical logistic purposes should the need arise (I wouldn't own a .223 for any other reason)

Food supplies are always stocked with several months of food regardless of world affairs simply because we are lazy and don't like to go shopping all the time so we hit up Costco and buy large quantities. And because it?s just the woman and I, we favor food with long shelf life to last, lest things mold or rot and go to waste from lack of immediate use. As for water, 40 gallon water heater, 2 toilet tanks, and an always full automatic ice dispenser and water purifier in the fridge provide emergency water if needed.

Various electronics such as a laptop, 5 watt handheld GMRS radio with built in color moving map GPS, lots and lots of batteries, but again this is all useful stuff I already have anyway, not paranoia gear ;)

I don't really have a magical 'kit' to speak of, but I am well organized naturally and happen to have a lot of useful things on hand regardless, so if I had to I could gather the important items and leave in minutes (rake the pantry contents into recycle bins, etc).

It's more about thought process and being intuitive than having a magic black bag. Having at least THOUGHT about it for 5 minutes, even if it was just a "what would I grab if I had to leave in 5 minutes" makes you more prepared than 99% of Joe Public (ie: the people that were trapped on their roof tops in N.O. who didn't bother to bring even a day's meal and water and a change of warm dry clothes up with them before they sat on their roof all day)

Nope -- never used it. But there was a time I _WISH_ I would have had one, and didn't, and that will never happen again.

I thought you were going to say that you were a police officer or something, but it's even cooler that you are a wireless network engineer :D

You go look at a country like Chad and see villagers slaughtered by the thousands, because they have no means to resist oppression by their corrupt governments. It's happened OVER and OVER and OVER again. If people are unarmed, they cannot resist, and they are easily wiped out, "ethnically cleaned", etc. What's the first thing Hitler and the Nazis did? Take the weapons from the people. "We are the state. We will protect you. Only our police will have weapons." You get the idea.
