so lets get some answers to that "what's your biggest weakness" question

what is a good reply when asked during an interview?

If I was 100% honest, my answer would be "I'm impatient and have a temper issue that would result in me removing someone's head off their shoulders if they pissed me off on the right day"

the whole point of those dumb questions is to also tell them how you deal with that weakness and overcome it to turn it into a non-issue (im sure you know this though)

"My biggest weakness is that I can be impatient from time to time. Typically when I'm working on projects I like to see them done as quickly as possible while still meeting all standards set forth for the project. In my past *ENTER SCENARIO HERE* and being impatient *LESSON LEARNED*

My answer to this question is that I do my best work when I'm kept busy, and I get discouraged when I have nothing to do. It's true, it is indeed a weakness - if I don't have any work, I get annoyed and then I don't want to do the work that DOES come in. However, it also indicates that I WANT to work hard and be kept busy, which is also true.

..I like to kill pigeons in rat traps. When I hear that "snap" on the roof I always know what it is.

I didn't get asked this question during the interviews for my current job, and I probably was asked it in other interviews but I don't remember what I said. Probably the usual canned bullshit you're supposed to say.

If I had to answer 100% honestly: I sometimes work too quickly and overlook things that I should've caught.

last interview i went on i said i always need to be challenged. this can indicate to the company that you always need to be presented with demanding projects/deadlines to be engaged in the work. do not use with companies that are low pressure, laid back work environments or they might get the impression you need to be constantly motivated with projects

My standard answer.... "I learn too quickly."

Why is that a weakness? "Well, it means that i have to constantly challenged. Always, kept busy and in need of work.
