Don't know where to begin, so let's try the first day, k?

Wait no, a lil intro first.

My spring break consisted of 34 kids, 6 whom I was "tight" with, 8-10 who I knew, the rest I didn't care about. Well I care, but you know what I mean... didn't know them. Anywho, I went to Spain with my Spanish teacher through this company called EF tours. They tell us where to go, and we go. Now before you think, "aww man, with your teacher??!! That's gotta be a bore.", let me tell you that my teacher is really cool, and she didn't mind the fact that we got drunk every nite.

Basically, we went to 3-5 places. Our main cities to visit were Granada, Sevilla, and Nerja. Along the way though we visited Gibralter, Cordoba, and Morraco.

Basically, throughout the day, we'd just shop or go site seeing. That was fun, but the fun kicked in at night, cuz damn, they're drinking age is 16 or 17 or sumthing, and me and my friends got sh!tfaced everynite.

Which brings me to what I really wanted to talk about... alcohol.

Alcohol is a funny thing. To be honest, I never really got a true experiece for it before this trip. Before I tried, I imagined it to be this wonderful thing where it tastes so good that you go crazy, or a little delusional. After my first sip of Bacardi and OJ, I never wanted to try it again. As time went on, I tried a few sips, and still failed to like it. Fast Forward to this trip.

Well, the first bar we went into was quite small, but still "bumpin." I had a Heineken, and I was still unhappy. But after that first bottle, I don't know why, I bought another drink. My friend said try a Malibu and Coke, and dammmmmn that was good. After 4 of those, I had another beer, and I realized by now, I was pretty gone. That's all I remember of that nite.

In the next bar, I tried a Corona (or Coronita as they call it in spain) which I liked a little better, but I still had to hold down my gagging from each sip. But as the nite went on, I liked it more and more. Followed by the introductory beer, I had a llegerbomb (sp?) which was good too, and some malibu and coke.

Well, I'm not gonna explain every bar, but I thought I'd just share my alcohol experiece up till now.

REVIEW:
Beer: Yea, sum are good some are a lil too strong. Overall though, decent... at best.
Mixed Drinks: I love um. My favorite was a Malibu and Coke (does this make me a girl?), Followed by a Bacardi and any pop.

Sum Side notes:
-Spain was cool, but food was not as good as i hoped.
-Taco bell tastes really damn good after 1 week w/o it
-What's with the new AT look? I feel like i've returned to the wrong country
-Pics will be up soon... maybe?
-Alcohol takes a bit of gettin used to
-I embarresed myself 3-4 times too, which I'll write about perhaps later.
-I wish my tolerance stayed the same, cuz I hated spending more money every nite

It feels weird not being able to go to a bar in the US and just having a good time with your friends. I'm truly gonna miss that about spain.

Hey, i had a similar experience in highschool where i went on a trip with my spanish teacher to Costa Rica (through EF Tours). The trip was fun as hell , best trip of my life. I saw amazing things during the day and at night it was a party. Bars after bars.

It wasnt my first experience with alcohol but it was to the fact that i got drunk to the point of falling in a ditch, getting up and walking into someones house thinking it was our hotel, almost drinking talcum powder, laying around the whole next day while everyone went to climb some tree. Man that was a blast, it didnt help that i took some aspirin the next day and it mixed with the alcohol (apparently i was still drunk) and i became all numb. Ef Tours does a really nice job (*sidenote), on those trips.

Don't worry about your alcohol thing with tolerance comes the liking of more and more drinks. When you first start to drink you dont like it, but it grows on you. And of course as the night goes on you taste less and less of what your drinking, take it from me.

Hmm now that i just made myself feel like an alcoholic , time for a beer.

JegerBomb = Jegermeister + RedBull = High Blood Pressure

One of my friends & I especially love these (but only with RedBull not Monster or any of that other knock off bullshit) and whenever we get together will do anywhere from 10-20 of them in a sitting. These make for some fun nights!!!

What I learned in college:

(2.75 L Captain + 2 L Coke + 6 pack Busch Light + 6 shots watermelon schnapps) / me + 4(guys) = "why I can't drink captain & coke anymore"

60% Vodka + 40% Lemonade = yum

3 wise men shots = good way to make n00b freshman puke

good for parties with people you want to get drunk:

Jungle Juice (aka Wop)

1.75 Litres Smirnoff 100 (50% alcohol)
1 bottle Bacardi 151
3 gallons Hawaiian Punch
2 apples, 2 oranges, 1 lime, sliced

Mix 2 gallons of punch and the vodka with the fruit in a very large container (usually big juice cooler or if you want to be really "college", used a black plastic lined garbage can. Add about 12oz of Bacardi 151, and then use the rest of the punch until you can barely taste any alcohol. Let it stew for a few hours and you won't taste anything but punchy goodness if you pour it over ice.. As you near the end of the evening, eat some of the fruit. It'll knock you flat. Scary.

Second? Try first. Vodka was my second water.

Off topic, but kinda funny. The college i went to gave out these plain light green buttons for alcohol awareness week. We broke them open and wrote on them "Save water. Drink Beer." and put them on our backpacks. :D

In the next bar, I tried a Corona (or Coronita as they call it in spain)

That quote made me think of something...
Vincent: And you know what they call a... a... a Corona with lime in Germany?
Jules: They don't call it a Corona with lime?
Vincent: No man, they got the good beer. They wouldn't know what the fsck a Corona is.
Jules: Then what do they call it?
Vincent: They call it "weakly fermented rat piss with lime".

:p

By the way, Coronita is available in the US and it comes in smaller bottles. Bottles look exactly the same with the exception of being smaller and saying Coronita on them.

yeah in the spanish language, the suffix ITA means little. But all the "Coronitas" I had in spain were normal size.

All of these experiences you guys talk about reminds me of what I did day in and day out when I went
to Cancun in high school. Also, I think you guys mean Jagermeister and I see there are rookies in this thread. :)

BTW- check out www.webtender.com
it seems pretty cool
