So I've taken charge of throwing my friend's 21st...

I'm a beer guy. What brands should I look for, and what's the deal with mixed drinks? The only recipes I know are a Screwdriver and Rum and Coke.

Just get a bunch of liquor and let people mix their own. Get some rums, vodka, bailey's, coffee flavored liquor

for a 21st... you can not go wrong with redbull and jaeger... then get some everclear for shits and giggles... also get some 151 and rumpleminz.. mix 1/3 jaeger, 1/3 151, 1/3 rumpleminz... makes liquid cocaine... he wont last to long.

Oh, the beer's covered. This guy has a sensitive tongue, practically spat out Blue Moon of all things. I figure we'll start him off with Keystone Lite (or one of the other water derivatives) with some sweet mixed drinks and work our way up from there.

Jaeger and Rumpleminze make great shots. Since you're going crazy why not get some good tequila too.

That's a good point. Take him out and buy him some good alcohol. Not the college boy shit everybody drinks to get wasted. Top shelf tequila, scotch, Irish, and bourbon. A martini would be good. Girly drinks, and the crap most people drink when they go out are good for making you sick.

The only thing they do is to make your puke taste like cough medicine. Seriously, those are what 16 year old kids drink when they can talk an older friend into buying booze for them because those are the only names they know. When you're 21 it's okay to leave the kid stuff behind and start drinking decent liquor. Get vodka because it mixes with anything, get bourbon because anyone with taste will appreciate it and because those without taste can drink it mixed with coke or ginger ale. Get gin because the gin and tonic is one of the few mixed drinks worth a damn. Get rum for rum and Cokes. Get beer. With a good selection of mixers that's going to cover just about everybody.

Any brown tea is great with rum. Earl Grey, Yunan, or any other type of brown tea works well.
