lmao. Subway wasn't going to ask you "Whats the most difficult situation you've encountered and how'd you deal with it". :p But in all seriousness, good luck.

Name a time when you worked on a low performing team and what you implemented to ensure that you and the team would suceed.

Name a time when you ran out of jalapenos and the customer really wanted jalapenos on your sandwich, and what you did to satiate the customer.

Sounds like a good job for your age. At 16 (well 17) i worked in a cattle slaughtering factory... so it could definitely be worst (admittedly, the pay was good).

I have a (female) friend who shoveled coal at a power plant during the summer between high school and college.

On the graveyard shift.

And she moonlighted at a family-owned restaurant.

:(

They are always hiring sandwich artists, you'll do fine!

Yeah, they had 11 new spots to fill for the new shop that's opening up inside of our Walmart..

lol Oh, the Ukiah Wal-Mart. First a rarely-used McDonald's, then a rarely-used food-whatever, and now a Subway, eh? I'll be surprised if that is used any more than the others. I just don't really see people going to Wal-Mart for lunch...

At least you probably won't have to work very hard... :)

Eh, I dunno..when I talked with the manager she said she wouldn't be surprised if the walmart shop overtook the Peartree one as the busiest..

Yeah, that  me too. Eating in Wal-Mart has never seemed very attractive and it's not exactly at the center of town. I wonder why she thinks it'll be so busy.

Right, but that's mainly because there's only one Wal-Mart. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least six sandwich places in Ukiah, most of them more-convenient and tastier than a Wal-Mart Subway.

I don't know if they "lost" anything. Everybody I knew told me that the McDonald's in our Wal-Mart was horrible and I never saw anybody in there. I think it was simply a bad location for the THIRD McDonald's in a town of 15-25 thousand.

I'm 16, BTW...first job interview of my life.. :)

Update:

Well, it wasn't quite the interview that I expected...we sat down outside, talked about fitting work in between my school hours..dealing with customers..blah blah, and said she had a few more applicants to talk with, and then said she'd be calling people back in a day or two...I think I should get the job :)

Update:

Well, just got a call from Subway...they want me to come work for them :) They start training me next Saturday :)

I hate to break it to you, but working a minimum wage job making fast food is not considered "art";)
