tl;dr ... I started.. halfway though I just couldn't do it anymore.

I didn't even get half way through. I started skimming and then I looked at the scroll bar and was like, "Oh shi... It's really that long? Scroll.. scroll... wow... I am posting tl;dr."

A very good article that utterly destroys the notions that consumers and markets are unable to make their own decisions and that "luck" rather than actual worthy competition drives markets.

There is a growing trend among anti-capitalists that people and markets are unable to make the "correct" choices for themselves, and thus choices must be made for them.

since we are on the subject of keyboards..

the lemmings also fall for this one as wellhttp://www.npr.org/templates/s...toryId=11029793&ps=bb1
the old wash your keyboard in the dishwasher line...

Er, the keyboard in that news article worked after running through the dishwasher...

And all the talk about WHY its bad point to shorting out the circuits, which I'm not sure how that will happen when its not plugged in while being washed.

I find that I am faster with dvorak, so I'm not going to read some mile long story to tell me it's not.

It's good to know that you're completely willing to ignore any evidence on the matter.
Just to provide you with cliff notes, it's basically not any faster nor any slower.

Holy shit, article needs cliffs.

turns out the limit for typing may be with the user and not the key layout. it then goes on a logical farce to try to show that network effects don't exist (i.e. it's good to have MS office because everyone else has MS office so it's easier to share documents).

Solutions:
1) BIOS password
2) Windows password
3) Windows key + L when you leave the room
4) Lock out sensitive files with Truecrypt

A different keyboard won't keep me from using a computer, though I do have enough respect to refrain from using someone else's property.
