I didnt really like the demo, but after putting about 4 hours in last night, I am starting to get into it. I think I have for the most part grown past this particular genera, but I'm having fun playing it so far. The game is 3 discs, so I assume it will take awhile to finish. When I played the demo, I was for the most part annoyed, but after 30min or so I started getting the old Final Fantasy, Chronotrigger vibe.

Another small perk I like is that you actually get rewarded for exploration. Searching cabinets, ruins etc not only give items and coin but experience and permanent +s to stats.

The game itself looks nice, combat is kinda slow but it seems like you have quite a few ways to develop your characters.

My son really likes watching it too ( he thinks its pokimon ).

I will eventually. I've had the demo downloaded since it hit XBL, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Too many games, too many games! What a terrible problem to have. 😛

haha that's cute how your son likes watching it. i've got one nephew who is hyperactive but will sit and drool watching anything Shrek... so cute ^^

Yeah I felt bad because i had to chase him out the last couple games I played through( Bioshock and Resistance ). Blue Dragon actually looks like a cartoon to him with all the cut scenes and whatnot.

He is too young to play this one himself, but he really likes playing Shrek, Superman, and Cars.. The nice thing is I dont even need to buy the games, I can just DL the demo.. He is too young to get past the first level so he doesn't know the difference

The cutscenes and pics I've seen made it look a little too much about cute kids playing fight the monster for me, and nothing I've read has changed that impression.

I actually enjoyed watching little Goku's adventures in the original DragonBall series, but I really prefer a party based RPG to have adults for the characters. I settle for a party of teens in some games out of necessity.

I'm playing (watching?) Xenosaga 1 now and it's fun so far. Cute redhead scientist and her half-dressed killer android > little kids.
