I've had long hair for the longest time. I got 4(+) inches taken off just a few months ago and I wish that I would have done it sooner. Before that my hair was half way down my back. I always got a few inches taken off but that's about it. I was afraid what I'd look like w/ short hair but it had to be done. I'm went back to college and will be graduating this fall. It's impossible to get a good paying job with long hair. I'm a special education major as well so I knew that I'd have to maintain a conserative look.

It's possible to get a good paying job with long hair.

I think maybe it's just time for a change...

in what direction, tho?

also, does it make any difference how your hair is for work?

what does your girlfriend think, in terms of how it could look?
I don't have a job, and that's something I'm thinking about. It'd probably make finding one easier.

In a shorter direction, I guess? There's not really any other choices.. lol

She's never really told me what she thinks would look good, lol.. I'll have to ask her.

It sounds like a buzz cut is probably the best option, bleh.

I have a bump on my skull, and I think it would be noticable and look funny if my hair was TOO short.... lol

i havent been keeping up with ur YAGT. i take it you guys are back together again?

people can break up and still talk to each other

i have my kids cut my hair, they just shave it all off with the clippers

need to do it as soon as i get a saturday at home/not working

I'd tell them exactly what you posted.

Get a female hair stylist and tell her you know nothing other then long hair, you have no fashion sense, you don't know what would look good, and then askf or her advice. If she hot, say something like "Give me a haircut that'd make you go out with me". that always works 😉

Go in... ask for a Caesar cut with a flip in the front. A number 2 guard around the sides and back. Block the back. If you have burns, don't let them go past your ears. Bamm.. your done!

If you want to cut 10" or more off, donate it to Locks of Love. They make wigs for sick kids. They even have a program where participating salons will give you a free haircut for donating. Here's a list of salons participating: http://db.locksoflove.org/salonlist.php If you don't want to go to a place on the list, you can still donate, the rules are simple. See the website for details. http://www.locksoflove.org

That's interesting. Never heard of that before...

I did it several years ago.
Had super long hair since I was a teen, then got it cut in 1998 to find better work. Sometimes I still grow it out a bit, but then get it cut short again. Just one of those things.. once you do it it's fine. Doing it the first time is kinda strange....

#2 crew cut is the only thing to do after having had long hair for so long. Oh yeah, be sure to sell that ugly rug to some wigmaster for a couple hun too.

You could always donate it to that cancer patient wig foundation. My friend did that, but you have to have >12" of hair. Which it looks like you've got twice that.

The minimum is 10" and I posted the links about it above.

Dang it. I thought I scanned all the replys... 🙁

Cut it short. You'd look pretty good with a short haircut I think. Long hair just makes your face look longer.

Edit-It will probably freak you out for a while but it's just hair. Sometimes a change is good for you.

Just tell them to cut it short on top - stagger cut. Use size 3 clippers on the side.

And if you're going to do that, my suggestion is shave your beard/gotee - but leave the mustache. If you don't like that, that can always grow back in short time. Post followup pics.
