As long as we're throwing around scripture. It's nice to know that The Bible has regulations for dealing with mildew.

"The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "When you come into the land of Canaan, which I give you for a possession, and I put a leprous disease in a house in the land of your possession, then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, 'There seems to me to be some sort of disease in my house.' Then the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest goes to examine the disease, lest all that is in the house be declared unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house. And he shall examine the disease; and if the disease is in the walls of the house with greenish or reddish spots, and if it appears to be deeper than the surface, then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days. And the priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look; and if the disease has spread in the walls of the house, then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which is the disease and throw them into an unclean place outside the city; and he shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped round about, and the plaster that they scrape off they shall pour into an unclean place outside the city; then they shall take other stones and put them in the place of those stones, and he shall take other plaster and plaster the house. "If the disease breaks out again in the house, after he has taken out the stones and scraped the house and plastered it, then the priest shall go and look; and if the disease has spread in the house, it is a malignant leprosy in the house; it is unclean. And he shall break down the house, its stones and timber and all the plaster of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city to an unclean place. Moreover he who enters the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening; and he who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes. "But if the priest comes and makes an examination, and the disease has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, for the disease is healed. " Leviticus 14: 33-49

Clearly, we disagree. I recognize that the Bible is a historically accurate account of the Nation of Israel, contains a number of fulfilled prophecies, as well as prophecies that are in the process of being fulfilled, as well as scientific facts.
You believe that the Devil, the Bible, and religion are myths, I believe that the Devil causes you to believe that such is the case.

Of course you do. That's the only conclusion you could possibly come up with if you believe what is told you without any questions what so ever. That's why it's called faith. You have to have faith to believe something that make no sense because if you relied on evidence (or lack of evidence) then you wouldn't believe it to start out with.

It's about honesty. Don't try to lure people in by "sugar coating" what the Bible says. Deception is the Devil's vice.

I kind of believed until that whole santa claus let down... lies.. all lies. To build me up then thrash my dreams on the rocks and tell me there is no santa claus. Without him nothing made sense to a 10 year old.

so retarded. Christianity emphasizes on love.. not this BS.

Jesus said that no one would know when the end is coming, so they're all wrong, according to God. It's when no one expects it that it'll come.

The purpose of the "creation" wasn't to frighten people into Heaven. In fact, if you call yourself a Christian and go around doing good deeds cuz you're too afraid to go to hell, I'd seriously reconsider your faith.

If you reread what UberDave initially posted, the asteroid was his suggestion, nonetheless.

"And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into th earth...and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea...And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;" Revelation 8:5,7-8, 10

So now Jesus wrote revelation? Strange, I always thought it was John.

Of course. I doubt anyone has ever been swayed over to the other side in a debate about religion here. In fact I'd feel bad if I caused you to lose your faith as it seems like it's of the upmost importance to you. Just don't expect to change anyone over to your way of thinking who doesn't already believe as you do.

I almost believed once... but then the phone rang.
I agree Red.. people belief or disbelief and that is it. If you believe strongly enough no one showing you evidence in your face will make you believe any different. With faith you do not need to know what is right or wrong, only what you believe, even if you are wrong.
Hmmmm I think that rambled but oh well.

maybe after you explain why the other 100s (1,000s?) of gods are fake (most of which you don't even know of btw so how can you properly evaluate the situation?) then you can tell us why yours is "the real one". your beliefs are total bs and merely based upon the popular religious options of your spefic time period that you live in. if you were born 1,000s of years ago in egypt then you'd be worshipping a god with a bird for a head along with many more rediculous made up gods. how do you reconcile this fact? your beliefs are a joke and are fairy tales for adults (and brainwashed kids).

Nope... look at the trial a while back (oj). I will not go into detail but if you think something is so.. all the evidence in the world will not change your mind.
See what I mean.

And native americans believed the world was on the back of a turtle. See how this goes. This is the current story until the next one comes along. You nor I will be here for the next story but it will come along. And 1000's of years from now people will read our religious books and say how strange we were.
