So i'm running ad-aware for the first time....

and it says it found 15 components... 8 timesinks by cuteftp and 7 cookies (2 by doubleclick, 1 by admonitor, 1 by valueclick, and 3 by sextracker <for some unknown reason, i have sextracker cookies on my system... wtf...> ...

anyway, my question is, what's a timesink and how does it affect my system? and will the removal of the timesinks affect the operation of cuteftp?

Where did you get ad-aware from?? I think I need it to get rid of the spy ware that's on my pc. Can't seem to find the root of all the problems lately. 🙁

I config'd it to auto-remove... anything ad-aware deems suspicious is gone...
