Exactly. Wasted no-pay days are the same as not having a job for that period so when you are lucky to have a job, you're supposed to be lucky enough to get paid from it. I would hate if they told me to go take a week off unpaid here and there.

Don't Europeans get quite a bit of PAID vacation? A lot of us would like to feel more 'European' when it comes to workers' rights/benefits...
