At the very least, having a child puts the world into perspective. Things that were once important to you, may become very childish and unimportant. As you child grows up and you see how they are trying to make sense of the world, you'll have an appreciation for everything you've taken for granted. My single piece of (unsolicited) advice would be to truly cherish every moment you have with your child. Watching them grow up is so precious and it will make you learn alot about yourself. Have fun and be ready for many sleepless nights while you kid's an infant :D

Congrats!!!

Just had my first one this past November. A good month. :)

They tell you your life is about to change, and it certainly is, but no matter how you prepare for it, you have no idea how you're going to feel after seeing and holding your own flesh and blood.
All the stuff you thought was disgusting about other people's babies before, like seeing them drool, changing diapers, etc, doesn't even matter when it's yours. You don't even give it a second thought.
You're going to love it.
