$1950 is a f*'in good deal for the bay area on a WHOLE HOUSE!! That's about how much our tiny two room apartment is in berkeley :| I can certainly see why he wants you to move. Soon, things won't be so nice and he can have you evicted without the money. so yeah, it's best to start looking for a new place, the house market is actually at an all-time low for the last three years.
