LOL....my mom never pushed me that much, but she was never satisfied with just good. I got C's through out grades school. Then in high school, I magically became a "bright" student. When I told my dad that I did not bother with MIT (I doubt that I could ever get in), he was SOOOOOO sad.

edit:

LOL at 7:32....that is what my mom would have done.

That's one of the problems with our country. The parent's don't really push their kids to excel anymore. Now getting a C average is considered acceptable (and a C these days is equivalent to a F in the past)

In my family it was this:

Well, actually I could get away with almost anything as long as my grades were good.

I just wanted to slap those selfish parents around after watching that video.

Selfish for wanting their kids to excel academically?
Sure they are a little over the top, but you think it's better if they do push the kids?

(Only watched like 4mins before getting bored).

Less than 5 minutes in and there's a car crash. Pushing the stereotype pretty hard, eh?

There's a difference between pushing your kid to succeed vs using them to fulfill a drive you never managed to accomplish for yourself. It's not like anyone can judge these parents from a video, though.
