A walk sounds like a good idea. Really, when you think about it, it isn't a big deal. You have reason to be upset about having to move from your home before you're ready, but it isn't like they're transferring you to a different location or something like that.

As a fledgling with EDS we were in a very crowded office bldg and I was moved many times, the worst time being out into the hall right next to the door going into/out of a flight of stairs Very difficult to concentrate, luckily I didn't have any real work to do

There are lots of reasons why they might have asked you to move. However, the people in charge are your bosses (and they make more money than you.) You need to listen to them. And, threatening to quit because they moved you?? How do you behave when you have a really bad day??

yeah...I can sympathise with you...I hate moving..even if its 2 inches...but ya never know..maybe your new cubicle will have a view of the hot blonde or something...or maybe they are just putting you in that cubicle while they get your corner office ready...either way...relax and just take things for what they are worth...dont try to make it into a conspiracy

hey...now I was trying to be sympathetic with you...relax a little bit man...life could be much much worse...they could have came and told you that you were demoted/laid off/fired/going to have to take a pay cut..but no...they ask you for something very small in comparison...yet you overreact to them and snap at the people who are trying to help you...maybe it would have been better if something worse had happened then you would realize how petty this is
