If i decide to use paypal to accept payments, how do i go about getting the money?

How much does paypal charge?

What method of shipping do you reccomend? (Fedex ground is only $6.50 or so to the farthest places in the US now)

basic paypal is free...and shipping will vary depending on weight/destination

If you're uncomfortable with Paypal, just ask for MO or maybe C2IT if gives you peace of mind.
Shipping-wise, it's genereally accepted that the most economical thing to do is USPS Priority with DC unless somebody needs it really fast. And if you ship to Canada, for the love of God, ship by the USPS.

Basic Paypal is no charge...but it is a 3-4 day wait for transfer of money to bank or vice-versa

usps only charged me $4.40 to ship a video card to canada today!!! 4-7 days. That is a deal IMO.

USPS Priority mail with delivery conformation is $4.34 under 1 pound.
That is how most traders including me, ship.
I don't mess with Paypal, just Money Orders.

UPS and Fedex charge the receiver insane brokerage charges to bring items across the border, I once I had to pay a ~$30 brokerage fee because of UPS :|. The mail charges a flate rate of $5 to clear things through customs.

Using USPS vs. carriers such as UPS and/or FedEx, it's less expensive from my personal experience 🙂

if they are n00b trader, I would wait for payment.

If they have heat and whatnot, seem respectable, cross-shipping should be fine.

Yeah I think it depends on their reputation here on AT and their Heat evals.

Personally, I would expect you to ship first seeing as to how you have only three heat evaluations. Of course it all depends on the buyer. Be careful and check out references before you deal. mastertech01 had a great thread in FS/FT regarding the 6 P's of trading which was added to the rules by the mods sometime ago.
