fired in 2001, but i really resigned before they axed me months later. supposedly i wasn't a team player, but what do they know they're in FL (corporate that is).

so i get a called yesterday and today pleading for me to help them with two of their servers. per diem work to get this back up and running. price is negotiable but i told them no since they canned me and all. however, the person that canned me also got fired, i guess they finally realized he was a moron. he never liked me for some reason.

so do i go back and do this for them?


BTW ... forgot to mention when i applied for my old job a month ago the new IT Director gave me the run around. supposedly i wasn't good enough for a position that i held for 3 years. now the head network admin called me and asked me to come in. not sure if the it director knows about what is gong on. this new it director heard some dirt about me from the old fart who canned me.

definately, the guy who was also fired most likely got you fired. others who didn't know you had to take his opinion. karma is a b1tch, but i wouldn't blame the entire company. plus, who doesn't need extra $$ coming in?

In my personal experience, never burn any bridges. If they want you, then let them know that you're willing to help, who you are and how you are is shown through your works. I know that's not true often times, but the idiot that fired you is gone, and the company seek YOUR help, that shows they know that you're of value.

Yes do it, but tell them you want HR to pull up your work record for a look it over.

This will permit you to have them change any negatives on it.

well if your happy with the job, maybe just doing a few side jobs liek this would be helpful
