That's the information I'm looking for. Thanks. Is there consensus?

A few people already mentioned this in the thread :) , just offering my agreement here. I've got about 20 phones on my desk at the moment from every OEM (I do Android security testing/research) if that helps.

So what is Moto bringing to MWC if anything?

That's a good question, they just came out with a new moto E today but that's entry/mid level at best, you'll probably want a flagship to make it last a few years. The X line seems to be a big seller for them, it would be smart of them to do a shamu (n6) in a slightly smaller size, something like halfway between the X and the shamu on moto maker... but who knows.

Otherwise the announced 2015 flagships wont be what you're after (m9/s6)

Nothing major I would guess. Their flagship phone refreshes happen in the fall.

The real question hovering over Android right now is if the S6 is going to be the clear best device in Android this year, or if they are going to miss the mark and then its back to whatever you like best.

I've had multiple skinned android devices and they all got late, skipped or discontinued updates. I lost patience with that nonsense and have since gotten not one but three Nexus devices which have all gotten instantaneous ota updates so now they're all fully updated.

Schwing.

I would suggest you get a Nexus 5 from amazon, ebay our just but used from craigslist.

Barring all that, I vote you jump operating systems and go to iOS for unskinned operating systems, instant updates and no bloatware.

I would suggest a windows phone but I know too little about them.

Well, latest rumor points to not one but two new Nexus phones this year. Probably in the fall. Too bad I can't wait that long.
