So I went home for Christmas break and...

all my fish died. I dropped in one of those tablets that dissolves slowy providing food, but all my fish died. I think it was because the water got too cold for them since no one left the heat on in my apartment and the outside temp was down to the 20s.

I had:

1 Algae Eater
3 Glo Lights
2 Scissor Tails

I went and bought some more today and got:

1 Algae Eater
3 Glo Lights
3 Neon Tetras
2 Scissor Tails

However 1 Glo Light already died so I have to bring it back to wal mart tomorrow.

Fish are stupid too.. so you can stick them in an empty tank and they still never finish exploring it

yeah walmart gives you a 72 hour guarantee on the fish and i just bought the new ones today so i can bring and back and they will replace it

i could never get dead fish out of my tank, i let my girlfriend do that! 😱

nope im an idiot and didnt ever get one. the tank was always at about 70-72F, but i didnt even think about how cold it would get while no one was around. plus i wasnt expecting the heat to not be on while everyone was gone. im an idiot

I have15 goldfish and a lobster. A few days ago, I had 16 goldfish, and a couple days before that, I had 17. I don't really care that the lobster is eating them, because I'll be able to get nicer-looking fish in my tank.

haha! acutally it's a crawfish, unless of course you had a freshwater dwarf lobster flown in from austraila, I suppose there are some sellers in the us too. I had one of those guys tho, and they are little punks. That crawfish crawled out of my feeder tank a few times, found him crawling around on the floor all dryed up, throw him back in the tank and a few min later he's having a goldfish for breakfast. It got too big for that tank tho, moved it to my 125gallon with a few gold piranahas and they chowed him a couple hours later!... oh well.

I didnt know people had lobsters for pets, thats cool. I want to see this thing in action eating other fish.

it's worth the fun watching it, get a small tank and the lobster is like 8 bucks from petco, and a few goldfish...

I bought a ecosystem in a ball (completely self contained glass container with water, plants, cray fish. no maintance required) anyways i left town for a week and didnt think about it and the same thing happend to me. It got down in the twenties inside my house and it killed it...
