I'm such a moron. First and last time its gonna happen though, that's for sure.
Some dude came to the door willing to fix our sinking driveway and seal it. Needed to use up the last of his product before winter, he'd be back that weekend to do it. It's now going on three weekends, and I've given up calling him.

Things that were too convenient and I was STILL too dumb to realize:
  • His "company truck" was stolen the week before, so his girlfriend was driving him around
  • He left his reciept book at home
  • He needed a deposit in case we cancelled(what contractor takes a deposit?)
  • He didn't want the deposit cheque made out to anyone, he wasn't sure what account it'd go in

Like are you kidding me? Why was I such a retard? The last time we called him, he said he had a STROKE(!!!) and couldn't make it that day.

Ok. Commence laughing at me. -$300, but I'm not dead and my wife still loves me. It's all good.

edit- oh ya, if anyone wants to have some fun, his girlfriend's cell is 306-717-4904 and his name was Rob.

Like to the crooks, we smell like a delicious porter house steak, and they just attack. You normies smell like raw sewage, so they know to stay away.

She might *say* she loves you, but she's thinking you're the worlds biggest dumbass and is looking for a smarter husband. She knows she has to divorce you now before you lose everything $300 at a time.
