And for a few days following, mainly fixing her computer. Having just moved, she dug up a WHOLE bunch of stuff during the last few months that she gave me, among other things, my old USMC year book from Boot camp (circa 1971) along with all the letters I sent her during the time I was in.

After reading some of them over the last few days all I can say is WOW, what a TRIP!

(At least my spelling has gotten SOMEWHAT better over the years.;) )

If there is any interest, I could post some of the letters. Others may, or may NOT get a kick out of them...

Sounds like a good idea for a web page. I'm always interested in these sorts of things, pic / letters etc.

Yeah, I love going thru my old stuff. The military was only a dozen years ago for me, so it isn't quite as nostalgic yet, but still a good time.

Actually the PROPER term for them is "Covers" and, well I was 17, and after they get done with your head, and by that I mean those HIGH AND TIGHT haircuts, ANYONE'S head looks kinda small. ;)

Oh I hate you Brutuskend, but its a envious hate. I knew you lived in Oregon but I didnt know Eugene. Im from Eugene and miss it now that Im stationed in Kansas, flat no trees and cold :( Even though the AF is nothing like the MC I know what your saying.

Every picture that I've seen of a young military man looks like that. And no it's not the uniform, or the backdrop, it's...something else.
