aurora borealis These are some great photos. I used to see these all the time when I was kid in Southeast Mi. But now with urban blight.... I mean urban sprawl, I can barely see a star.

NSFW DUDE!!!!!!!!!!

I have safesearch filter turned off--how bad if it is on?

Its completely safe Alton. I searched from my pc with strict filtering on but it will very depending on what your personal settings in google are. If you have strict on ten your fine.

.. Southeast Mi... Michigan? Like, Monroe country or something? I live directly south of Monroe here in Toledo, Oh.. and I had no idea this portion of the country was Northern enough to see the Aurora Borealis. hmmm, makes me want to drive a little north into the nothingness that is most of Michigan and shoot some photos of the night sky. I'd be down for that just for extended time (hours) photos of the stars. I don't see enough stars here in Toledo to really do any worthwhile photography of their trek across the night sky.

North of Monroe county but you have have to drive a couple hours north of Bay City now I would think. It is solid lights from Detroit to Flint along the 75
