Yeah, I did. Unfortunately he was unable to help me. He was a douche to be honest. He told me what he would need to know to be able to help me(sleep habbits, eating habbits, exercise...) then suggested I go to a neurologist without asking about any of those. Cost me $250.

I then became unemployed shortly after.. no health insurance.. And then after tons and tons of reading about headaches, seeing stuff about people going to doctors for over 14 years and never finding a treatment, I had decided to just live with it until I can get some insurance and a job.

It all really boiled down to not having any money really. And the headaches could be considered pre-existing conditions to health insurance companies due to my head injury when I was 12.. so that would basically mean that I'm FUBAR'd. Unless I can find about $30k for catscans, MRIs and whatever else.

That is called dumbshitism. Not addiction.

When you're losing your mind, your sanity, have no health insurance and already tried a doctor once with no results and are left with no money.. the only thing you can do is the thing that takes the agonizing migraines away.. take some medicine. Then a year goes by and you still can't find a job and running out of money and losing even more of your mind... People commit suicides over migraines like this.. I went with the better option of taking more medicine.

What am I suppose to do after racking up over 20k in medical bills and still have no results? (that's what would have happened because I spent my entire childhood and over 100k from lawsuit winnings on medical costs.. They would have told me the same thing as those previous doctors I was assuming)
I can't slap my dick on the counter and expect them to accept payment.

Maybe they'll take one of these: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=665847

yes, but all medicine also says to consult a doctor when said you've been using said medicine for X amount of time with no relief from the symptoms they are treating.
That's when doctors can help look at the pain and say "well, this medicine isn't doing it, it might be a different pain symptom resulting from a problem that requires treatment with different medication". Or in your case, with enough trial and error (believe it or not, this is modern medicine still - trial and error while more conclusive evidence is sought after, which takes a lot of time), they would have discovered the medicine itself was causing headaches.

Now the real question is: you were using Excedrin daily, correct? For 2 years? What kind of dosage/frequency, assuming daily but how many times each day, how much each time?

The next step you should do, is get some tests done to see if that extreme amount of chemicals over the two year period has caused any permanent damage, specifically to the liver and/or stomach.

That's definitely on my high priority list right now. I'm waiting on my second interview for this job, once I know that I have a paycheck on the way I'm scheduling an appointment.

I never allowed myself to take more than 3 in a day. No matter how bad I was. And it was daily. I would wake up with my head pounding most of the time. First thing was to take 1 excedrin.

Yeah, I'm going to get checked out very very soon.

Those are called rebound headaches.

You should have a doctor evaluate your condition, they will most likely start with smaller medications such as something to ween you off like some neurontin and something for pain. If headaches persist at a similar level they may try one of the medicines that I know many people have tried and had great results with such as imitrex or treximet.

also ask the doc for long term effects. 2 years of hallucinations sounds like it could have done some permanent damage.

Well thankfully it's not excessive dosage, and in fact, is relatively low dosage. It's the frequency that is of concern.

When I'd take Excedrin, or any OTC pain pill, I'd take 2 (they always suggest 1, 2 if necessary) for a dose, and then if the pain persisted throughout the day, take another dose of equal size later. So in a day I'd have taken 4. Perfectly reasonable to take 4 a day for a week if seeking relief from a soon to disappear source of pain.
But taking any dosage over a period of multiple weeks on a daily basis, let alone years... hopefully your body managed to take in the chemicals with no damage thanks to the moderate dosage.

The main concern is 1500mg of acetaminophen every day for 2 years. Hopefully your liver checks out whenever a doctor orders some liver function tests.
