Yeah, I figure that would be nice. Anyone know of a service that does this? Maybe like 10mb of space and some decent connection speed? I dont want a fowarding address, because my current one sucks (bandwidth). I cant really complain because it is free (from a friend). So yeah, anyone know of anything that might help me out?

do you have high speed internet, and perhaps an old computer kicking around? THen you could just do it yourself. It's quite easy.

How do you do that if your DSL doesn't offer a static IP? Thanks.

uhhhhh Godaddy has it's own POP mail service. You dont NEED a server. just the domain name. Register a domain name and then sign up for the POP service at Godaddy.com

Namecheap has dynamic DNS updating now.. Once I figured it out, it worked like a charm. :) Either that, or just get a dyndns.org domain and use direct update

Awesome.

I use Earthlink DSL, how often does the IP usually change?

Which of those two methods works better?

I have Pacbell and my IP changes about once a week. Sometimes more often if I manualy restart the modem or something.

My Ip changes every time I log on/off my connection, and I'm assuming about once a week if it's just running 24/7, which is more than enough uptime to be running a basically free webserver/email, or whatever you want. The Namecheap Dynamic Dns service takes about 3 or 4 minutes to update, where as the Dyndns one is pretty much instantaneous.
