Bah, I want a new computer desk but all the usual places I looked at that have desks suck or the ones that I actually like are really flimsy. So I've decided I'm going to build one but I'm stuck at step one.

I want to plan it out on paper so I can visualize just how much materials that I'll need, but I need something to draw it with (I don't have any decent areas with flat surfaces to draw it out by hand). So, does anyone know of any decent free alternatives to Autocad?

Retail furniture is usually flimsy crap. I know you want to build which I think is cool but take a look here anyway, it's commercial quality furniture and isn't flimsy/cheap (most of it). I have purchased from for my home and for work (ie, big orders for the office) with good results.
