I'm sorry, I cannot believe you biked 24 miles in 45 minutes. (after walking 1 mile - thats 15 minutes alone). The machine you were on probably said you went 24, but its probably doing some waky calculation on resistance.
Good job none the less.

That's 4 MPH. Hop on a treadmill and try WALKING that pace for 30 minutes. Not running. Not jogging. Walking. That's a very fast clip for a walk.
And I call shens on the original post.

it would equal a 32mph speed - which is not even reachable on a bike, as far as i'm concerned. 55 minutes would be a 26.5mph speed -still just about impossible.
15 minutes walking should still get you about 1.25 miles. You can walk at 5 MPH and even up to 5.5 MPH.

Okay, this time for sure I know I'm right. 32 MPH is not an impossible speed to reach, regardless of how much concern you have for your bike.
And again I'll harp on you
20-23MPH is a VERY fast speed on a bike and can't be sustained for very long periods of time by your average biker unless the entire distance is down hill. I've hit 45MPH going downhill and pounding myself to death. I've also done a couple miles at around 22 MPH. It's killer on you if you aren't in training for it.

See, I'm still young and athletic so I can't relate to you guys I guess. Since I'm active every day I'm in decent shape year-round and a 15 minute mile to me is laughable. Like seriously, if I walked up to my friends and said I walked a 15 minute mile they would either ask me if I was joking and laugh or ask me why the hell I didn't run.
