So I wake up yesterday and go to my car only to find this.

Apparently, someone decided to liberate my car of it's stock rear spoiler while I was sleeping.

:(

Why the hell would anyone rip off a spoiler from a car? That's lame!

i wouldnt even call the insurance company, well depends on your deductible. but usually even if you call the insurance company they'll mark it down as a claim.

i dont think its gonna matter as this is nonmoving and 0 fault... that spoiler damage is gonna cost her more than $500... if you're detuctible is over $500, too bad :p

I don't think so.. im gonna take a guess and say it's a honda, but I know you can pick up a stock spoiler for under $200.. so damage isn't too bad, unless there's damage to the trunk, and the wiring. But if its a DIY job then i dont see it being more than $250

The girl in the pic is my gf. I was calling the insurance company and filing a police report while she was taking pics. It's a 2000 honda accord sedan. The spoiler itself will be about $200 max, but my trunk lid is dented from when they pried the spoiler off, so that will be more money to fix.

IMHO, when you replace (please don't but you will anyway) bolt it though the trunk. 1/2" grade 8 bolts should cover it. :)

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

think my 2000 TL looks better with a factory wing than without...haven't seen any of the new ones with the wing spoiler though...

You are either incredibly observant, or incredibly desperate.

I'm not sure which.

This was in the Palms / West LA area. The factory spoiler came with my car when i bought it from the honda dealer new 5 years ago, and it was bolted on to the trunk lid.

Those square mounts are metal which are bolted through the trunk. I just have to figure out how much everything is going to cost me to fix.
