So I wake up at 2:13 am to the phone ringing...

...and as soon as I say hello (or some mumbling reasonably similar to "hello" given that the speach center of my brain is based on vacuum tubes and takes a while to warm up) the caller hangs up.

Happens again, only this time I've realised that it's 2:13 and not just a "a little dark for a morning" and my answer is "It's 2 o'clock in the morning, who the hell is this?". From the other end I hear a very indignant, ghetto-accented, "Well how rude!" and they hung up.

I just had to laugh. Life's amusing.

If work called me at 2:13 am and wanted me to come in on a Saturday, they would get a hell of a lot worse than "who the hell is this?" Probably something more along the lines of, "That's the last damn staw you fvcking bastards, I quit." Only not that nice.

For a different job, it would be a different matter, but they can take this particular job and shove it.
