I'm going to make you guess who I used to be. It shouldn't be too hard considering there's a thread in forum issues with my old name in it, I have the same sig, and there aren't that many users w/ roughly 17,000 posts.

Lots of people think that if your nickname is "notfred" your real name must be "fred" (no, I don't know why they don't understand the concept of 'not') and it gets old after a while. I've stopped using notfred most other places already, so I figured I'd do it on here too.

I just kinda made it up a long time ago when I needed a nickname for IRC and just kept using it.

Where did Fred even come from? Couldn't you come up with something as a "nick" other than your real name ?
