After one party weekend (Thu-Sat) at our house in college we ended up with about $220 in returnables. Pretty close to what you had considering that was in Michigan ($0.10 on all cans/bottles)

Must not be Oregon.

I don't know of any merchant who will acccept that many cans from one person per day

Stupid Nevada. No merchants I know of in the Reno area offer money for recycleables.

I hate to tell you, but usually, states charge extra for the bottles when you make the purchase. The money back on trading recyclebles in is kind of like a "refund." The only way to make money off the process is to trade in a bunch of bottles/cans that you didn't buy. That way, you would come out ahead.

PBR huh? I don't recall that being such a good beer. I remember drinking Schmidt before which was also kind of nasty. We called the effect from it the Schmidt Sh!ts :)

here in MI all you do is take them to a grocery store, run them through a scanning machine, collect a receipt, and cash out. The only places I have ever seen put a limit on how many cans/bottles you can bring back are gas stations and liquor stores.
