Recently I've stopped jogging for a week because I strained my knee, and all week I've been peeing Considerably more than I normally would.

I remember this happened to me in Senior year of HS as well after I stopped track for a while.

And since I have diabetes in my family history, I think it might be that this is a diabetic condition prior kept in check by excersize by is only now fully manifesting.

Thoughts?

I would post other symptoms but upon lookup, diabetes symptoms are so numerous that I don't think they are of any use to substantiate/defer anything.

I am planning on it. But i'm just gathering some real world info first, before my doctor rips me off on pills and "stuff"

Easy way? Find one of our diabetic family member and check your blood glucose on one of there meters. Otherwise go see your doctor for such a thing. It could be as simple as excess caffeine or a UTI

If your urination frequency is abnormally increased as well as the actual amount of urine you output over a 24 hour period and then over several days, that would be in line with diabetes insipidus, which is in no way related to diabetes mellitus. Depending on the type of diabetes insipidus the only real problem you could run into is if you drink too much water (water intoxication) or too little (dehydration). I'd recommend you measure out your urine output, and don't try to set a record or anything just let things go naturally, and if its more than say 2.5L over a day then that would be considered significant. Your doctor will likely get you to do this anyhow. Measure the glucose level of your urine while your at it to rule out diabetes mellitus. You can take this information to the doctor - if you have DI you'll likely get a prescription for either anti-diuretic hormone (vasopressin) as a nasal spray or a medication that increases the production of vasopressin. As long as you keep hydrated and don't overdo it that's really all there is to DI, its a hell of a lot easier to deal with than DM.
