Its gonna be 3 months in mid-February... doing pretty good actually considering I used to drink at least 2 cans a day... there are still some left in my fridge but I haven't touched them so far ;) Today I was watching TV though and I saw a nice Coca Cola commercial... mmm tempting but nah, I think I'll stick with it... I feel good. So who else does not drink carbonated drinks?

/Runs off to get a big glass of cold water :)

I drink lots of water, and the occasional energy drink. Plain sugar sodas dont float my boat these days.

I "decaronate" soda I buy. Drinking anything carbonated makes my guts feel like they're going to explode. Removing the carbonation also seems to make the soda a bit sweeter, which is fine with me.
As a final act of blasphemy, I also prefer to drink soda that's at room temperature, not refrigerated.

I'd just get some kind of concentrate, and forget about the soda, if they'd only make it. What I mean is stuff like those little fruit drink concentrate things you can get, and then mix with water. It'd make more sense too - with soda, you're paying to have a lot of water shipped to you by truck. If they'd sell the concentrate, customers could use the water that they've already got flowing into their houses. Efficiency FTW.

if we all drink as many carbonated beverages as we can, we can beat global warming.

I would die of dehydration if I stopped carbonated drinks. the only time I drink non-carbonated is when I am in a hotel and for breakfast they have one of those joice machines that don't dispense carbonated stuff.

Well I had been drinking diet Coke/Pepsi for 5 years... I really didn't plan this... sometime around Thanksgiving I realized I hadn't drank any for a few days, and I decided to continue not drinking them... they taste good but aren't really good for your stomach or wallet... I hope in a few months I'll not even think about them... hopefully... :)

I haven't stopped all consumption. I still have some once in a while. I'd say I average one can every 2 weeks or so.

The thing about carbonated beverages is I can go as long as I want without drinking them - I barely feel the urge to go to the store and get some...but if I know there are 6 cans in my fridge, they won't be there a few hours later.

Nope, not me!
Alrighty then.

I'll have a carbonated beverage maybe once a month. Generally whenever I eat fast food.

I pour myself icy cold glasses of water whenever I get to work. Then I make some crack about how it's too early to start drinking, but I'm going to anyway.

i pretty much only drink water beer and orange juice.

I quite drinking soda probably about 2 years ago. When i was in highschool i probably drank about 6-8 cans of soda a day. i am not really overweight or anything but that is obviously not good for you at all. Instead of drinking soda I just drink beer now. Its tastier, and has the added plus of having alcohol in it! I also feel better about drinking beer because its more natrual to me and less sugar and water mixed with a bunch of other chemicals.

Ever heard of Kool-Aid? There's a whole market devoted to noncarbonated flavored sugar water. :D

Wow. I don't think I can drink that much of any liquid in a day. Liquid fills me up, to the point that a glass of about 10oz of chocolate milk can be a substitute for a meal. If I'd get those 8-10 glasses of water, or whatever it is, first I'd piss off professors for going to the bathroom every 10-15 minutes, second, I'd go nuts from having to use the bathroom so often, and third, I'd lose weight from eating less from feeling full all the time. I'm about 5'9" and somewhere around 120lbs, so losing weight wouldn't be a good idea.

When I worked at Walmart, I weighed the most I ever did, which was 126lbs. That was probably muscle too, because I was stronger then than ever before. I did my first and only pull-up while I worked there. But then, my daily soda intake was also highest - 24oz per day. Mt. Dew Code Red got me through each day. :)
After quitting there, I cut back on the soda. Now, if I have about 4oz of Mountain Dew, I get so jittery that I have trouble writing. I mainly drink orange soda now - no caffeine.

Geez, 6-8 cans a day though? Caffeinated? I don't want to think about what that much caffeine would do to me. Caffeine triggers the release of adrenaline, and I hate the feeling that an adrenaline rush produces. A few days before that 4oz of Mountain Dew, I had about 10oz of the stuff. I felt like donning a straightjacket and waiting for the rush to end. I felt like my mind was in overdrive and trying to tear itself to pieces.

I have a feeling I'm the sort who could get drunk after just holding a bottle of beer.
