I agree to a point.

i just think he is a idiot because he is not going to make as much as he thinks. not to mention all the time and effort he spent getting it.

i don't think its worth the 100-120 he will make.

I suppose it's just entrepreneurism at work, but does anyone else out there hope the OP loses his sales receipt so he can't return it if he doesn't sell it??

There's this crazy little thing called a life. Some people have one and would rather not spend 10 hours on a line to buy a video game. Other people have nothing to do and screw over the people that already have enough to do in their lives.

Like someone posted above, if money is actually tight he could get of gotten a job for the holidays and made a little more money, sounds like a bs excuse to me.

yeap. waste of his time for what little he is going to make.

ebay it starting this evening with a 1 day auction to end tomorrow evening. Give an option for 2nd day or 3 day select shipping.

Reap the profits and buy a wii in Jan when the supply is up.

Before you guys yell at me for trying to make a quick buck, money is tight this year and spending my day trying to get one of these was the only way i was gonna have money for xmas gifts.

So, any ideas on the best way to sell it? Im guessing ebay, but there are a TON on there. If i can get $500 id be happy, thats like $150 less than ive seen them on ebay and amazon. Craigslist maybe? Street corner?

i hope you get scammed or no one buys it.

Yeesh, people are really jumping the OP for this. I see nothing wrong with what he's doing. Nobody is forcing you to buy his Wii, and he did spend the time waiting in line to get it. Its his to do with as he pleases.

yeah, all the people who are bltching at him for selling it really just sound jealous. It would be foolish to NOT sell it if there is profit to be made. Sell it now and buy another one later. You'll pay for a large chunk of the one you keep from the profits of the one you sold.

Hey, OP, how many more xmas presents can you buy with $400 that you couldn't buy with $280?

As for money being tight.... well, that's what credit cards are for.

I bought it with a credit card.

And i have a feeling im speaking to someone in mountains of debt if you think credit cards are supposed to be used whenever you run out of money. If i cant sell this then i'll return it and not have any debt on my credit card and ill just have to settle for the small stuff i bought for people this xmas. Im already in financial ruin, racking up cc debt isnt going to help matters.

That's how you go into debt. If you are tight on money, you don't spend. A credit card may work in the way that you don't pay till later, but I use all my CCs like a debit card. If I don't have the money, don't spend it. Great advice there.

funny thing is, he'll make more money selling the Wii than he would if he had a 60gb ps3 to sell. A quick check of ebay showed wii's going for 450-500, and 60gb ps3's for 650-700.

I sold two Wiis yesterday for $495 + $30 S&H.

BTW, sucks for this guy 😀

Glad you were able to sell it and make an OK profit.

In all actuality, I was joking. Should've put a smiley on, I guess.

And I don't have a mountain of debt, my last late thing was a dish network bill that was sent to collections because I moved and couldn't get a job for a while, but that's paid off now.

I used to have a mountain of debt, when I was younger and much stupider. Damn unsecured student card and lack of job. Heh.
