bought itwhen it came out, stopped playing less than half way through.....is it worth me finishing?

bought HL2 when it came out, played it through once, wasnt overly impressed....played CS:S instead

Far Cry, played twice...once when i got it, once when HDR could be used.

FlatOut - crap

SC:CT played it 3 times already, and may have another go! good game best one ive ever played

the other 3 were pretty much let downs....is that a sign that im now jus fed up n cant be arsed about computer games and gaming anymore?

Don't be a hater. Doom 3 is an excellent game for those who have the patience to work through the middle.

I tried beating it, but the last boss broke so I couldn't win. Uninstalled and haven't touched it since. Game sucks anyway. No depth to the gameplay at all.

I liked doom 3 and its expansion. I loved listening to Megadeth, drinking beer, and blasting away demons.

Doom3 was a decent game. It got pretty tedious about half way through, but it was fun, and I enjoyed it. I felt the same way about FarCry. OTOH, I've stopped playing HL2 about half way through. I'm addicted to Guild Wars.

I don't think I even came close to the end of HL2. Too much running, not enough gunning. Plus I hate the weapons in HL2.

Doom 3 is worth playing until the end at least once (for most, once is quite enough for Doom 3), if you like FPS games.

I disagree. It's good to play through about 20 minutes. You will experience the same thing over and over based on the first 20 minutes.

I started doom3 last year and I am about 1/4 of the way through it from my friends guesses. I like it and all, but I get bored with the gameplay after a little bit. It's really an awesome game though. I love how it scares me sometimes but if you play for too long it gets really predictable.

I gotta find time to get SC:CT. From what I hear from everyone it is a quality game.

Capped a character, 15 - 20 in a couple of hours, 1-20 in 24 hours over the beta weekends.

The first beta weekend was without a doubt the most fun, tons of us dropped playing Lineage 2 for the weekend to play GW and we had so much fun pvp'ing :)

Ah cool. I wish I was into guild Wars during those weekend things they did, it would have given me a headstart. So far, I've got a level 15 Elementist/Monk, he is decent. I've been playing it for several hours everyday for just about the past week. I'm not too far, I just got past the Frost Gate.

PvP is fun :). I am debating what my next character will be, but he'll definately be a Melee PvPer of a sort. I'd like to cast some spells then do some rapeage with Melee, not quite sure what character can do that. But as it stands, I am a better healer than mage in PvP.

I played a Ranger Monk with both characters, 90% of the time in PvP I'd be the only fvcker left and I'd be running around killing people at the same time as healing myself AND trying to resurrect a dead person!

Ranger Monks are a great combination IMO, I think I tried pretty much every combination of class for about 5-10 mins each and I had the most fun with R/Mo without a doubt! (Especially when you get charm rings and start using other classes skills too ;))

I have to admit, it's a great game, I had the most fun I've ever had with any pvp MMO game (with exception to Neocron) on that first weekend, if I still played games now I would probably play GW, but I quit playing games last year :)

Heh.. I have HL2 installed, and have just barely started playing it. For some reason, I just can never get into it to build the interest in playing. And I never even installed Doom 3. I tend to prefer the complexity of the game universe in EVE-Online (I just don't do the swords and magic thing), but even that's starting to lose its luster for me. I probably just need to take a break..

If you like complexity, you'll love Neocron.

Whoever made Neocron supposedly shipped me Neocron 2 with a complimentary account to review, but I haven't gotten it yet. It looks interesting on paper. I already installed the game since it's free to download, but haven't heard from them yet. I'm working through my editor on that though, I'm actually interested in trying it out.

DnaJ: Thanks :). I might create a Ranger Monk as my next character. Sounds pretty interesting. My E/Mo is getting a bit boring, he relies too much on Energy, and when he doesn't have any, I feel fustratated because he can't kill a damn thing. Everyone and their brother has a W/Mo, so I'm trying to avoid that. I'll have to look into each class more carefully and see if I can pull out a winning combination.

Thanks again :)
