I got around the 9th chapter and got so bored with it I unistalled it. That game stinks, there are only like 4 different variations of bad guys and its the same thing through the whole game. The story is lame, and if anyone was "scared" by this game (just like doom 3) they need to have their head examined. How in the world did this game get so high in the ratings anyway? I could so fed up with being in that office building that I ended up unistalling it after the helicopter explodes before it can rescue you and that chick.

Farcry, HL2, and even Doom 3 smoked this game and those games came out a year ago. FEAR was just a waste of my time.

Well, it wasn't the best FPS ever, but I thought it was pretty fun. I don't think it was meant to be "pee-in-your-pants-from-monsters-jumping-out-of-dark-corners" type of scary, but it wanted to give a sense of "wow-that-is-creepy-wtf-is-going-on." I'd place it between HL2 and Doom3, with it more toward HL2.

I liked it a lot also. Much better than Doom3, but that's not saying much.
I thought the weapons had a good "feel" to them.

It always unnerved me to hear the sound when you kill the tech warrior.

It was a complete-it-once kind of game for me. I knew there were only 10 intervals so it wasn't that long to complete.

Also I haven't played HL2 or any recent game with such physics so that was pretty "wow" to me also.
