I now turn it over to someone who will call you a liar or brainwashed or something.

Because you have to really have an "increasingly good economy" to make posts about.
Fake and made up numbers doesn't cut it.

Daft one, the DOW != the economy.
Nice try though and even nicer try at trying to paint the economy as increasingly good. Tell it to someone who might actually believe you.

because it wouldn't go along with wmcowen674's portrayal of the economy (that it's in HORRIBLE shape), when in fact the economy is roaring along at over 4% growth and the stock market is up, unemployment is down and jobs are being created. But hey, the economy is bad right...? Keep making all your stupid threads about the bad economy, I'll actually take a look around and realize that the economy is great right now.

Christmas. How could businesses possibly fold during Christmas?

reading in this forum, one would think everyone is unemployed, unable to get a job, starving, and freezing in the cold.
i just look around and the localized economy is doing well. while some businesses are cutting back, the outlook is fairly positive down here.
how come every xbox and ps2 around the nation has been bought up, i guess a lot of people at least have tv and electricity, so while they starve and lack employment, at least they'll be able to play ncaa 2005

There they go again with the "Roaring" claim. Can't count how many times they have said that and then, ooops we goofed with the numbers. It's beyond old but hey worked for the Election so why not keep plugging.

Look at the facts...they speak for themselves. You are the one saying the FACTS are wrong...I'd like to hear you admit the economy really isn't that bad at all, but you won't because you can't. It goes against your entire being to admit something in this country might be going good. Bush is President, therefore everything is going wrong, right? Right.

What facts have you presented to look at?
GDP/Capita? Suadi arabia has very high while most live is sqauler. Ours is a poor indicator too when most wealth is concentrated in top 1%.
unemployment rate? poor too, if everyones working but at $3 an hour that's pretty crappy. becoming re-employed at much lower paying jobs is crap.
corporate profits? That's nice for all the joe-packs, not, you need income to buy stock and $3 an hour anit getting you on wall street.
stock market? see above
Overall this country is doing??? How about median income? Home ownership per capita? If those are up I'll agree with ya.

Home ownership is at an all time high. Median Income? I'm not sure about Median Income, I can tell you that median income for a 4 person family is $62,732. Not that bad, thats an average of ~$20/hour for 2 people.
Edit: Saudi Arabia has a high GDP/Capita? http://www.worldfactsandfigure...m/gdp_country_desc.php
The United States is #2 with $37,800 behind Luxembourg, a TINY country. That's $10,000 more than Germany and France!. Saudi Arabia is #69 with $11,800. USA has more than 3 times the GDP/Capita as Saudi Arabia...no wonder they "live in squaler".
Oh, and I thought you'd like to know minimum wage isn't $3, its $5.50 nationally or something and $6.75 here in California.
