So I rarely drink. But tonight I decided to have a beer.

I don't know what that means but I think you meant to say I rarely drink. In which case I thank my lucky stars. I also wonder if you rarely drink simply because you are only 14, or at least act like it.

People don't drink beer for the taste of it.

Wrong. Most people with a developed palette do drink beer for the taste. Most high school/college students don't drink beer for the taste of it because they a) can't afford good beer all the time and b) don't have a developed enough palette to enjoy a truly good beer.

You forgot to shoot and cook it first. That's the key to successfully tasting a bear.

I couldn't stand beer when I first had it, but drink plenty now. Have you tried amy light beers like Bud Light? Still though, I find Guinness easy to drink and it's a dark beer. Prob not the norm though cause if it has alcohol in it, odds are I'll drink it. Killians would be a good one to try IMO and it's pretty cheap. Then there's mixed drinks... gin in tonic is a good one.

Never been a teenager?

<-- is going to a brew pub tonight for the sole purpose of drinking wonderful beer. That and it's cheap night and the pizza is half price.

micro brewery beer is definitely much better than most of the run of the mill commercial beer, and draft beer is so much better than canned or bottled beer, but if you want good tasting beer find someone who makes their own beer. homemade is so good if the brewer knows what they are doing and the alcohol content can be higher depending on how its brewed.
My cousin makes beer at home, sometimes with fruit or other flavors. some of his beer has as much alkie as wine. lucky for me he doesn't know diddly about computers and every time he has computer problems i get beer in return for fixing his computer.

i agree. i think beer tastes nasty. but if you give me a fruity drink odds are i will like it. i like the mikes stuff as well as the Smirnoff's ice fruit stuff to.

I love beer, but lately been drinking other stuff. For instance, last night I was drinking Gin and Raspberry lemonade, and when that ran out I switched to Gin and Cranberry juice (carbonated). Tasty tasty....and I usually HATE gin.
