Yeah, I did get some sort of prompt the FIRST time I used Data LifeGuard Tools that said the drive can be repaired. I didn't repair it at that time because I wanted to try and backup some of my data. Guess I should have went ahead and repaired it then, maybe. However, I have been able to backup all my data except whatever is on my C Partition. I can no longer access Win98 (which is on my C partition). I can still get to Win2k on my D partition, and WinXP on my F partition, and also data on my E partition. Strange, huh? Eventually Win2k does some sort of memory dump and the computer reboots. Oh well, my first RMA w/ WD.
Guess I'll be snagging a new drive tomorrow. I'm glad I was planning on buying another drive. Now I can just get it a bit sooner!
I'm still pissed that this drive is fuXed, though.
