It costs less to make a single keypad than to make two different keypads. One keypad (with braille) for every kind of ATM a company makes. Much cheaper.

That plus blind people have been known to ride in cars with other people driving.

for real, like a blind man can drive up.

The reason was to prevent lawsuits, b/c here's what could happen. Blind man in back seat, his friend drives him to the ATM, rolls the rear window down, and instead of telling friend his PIN, blind man can do it himself. gg :)

So yesterday, I'm going to the drive up ATM to make a deposit to cover the rent check...I'm gonna be there a while, so I turn off the car at the ATM. I make my transaction, go to start up the car...it freaking wont turn over, the car battery was DEAD!!!
I was parked too close to the ATM to get out of the drivers side door, and now there are cars lining up behind me...CRAP!
I had to climb out the passenger door, and push the car out of the ATM stall by myself. Pull the car into a parking stall near the bank and call the wife to give me a ride to work...great start to the day...
