and it is pretty sweet. It's an Envoy SLE with no options, just an upgraded stereo. It's "carbon metallic" which is basically black. So far, I'm pretty impressed with the interior build quality. No rattles or squeeks, and everything fits together pretty nicely. The plastics used are better than in my old '96 GMC Sierra but subpar compared to my old '98 Toyota Avalon. All in all it's a pretty solid and beefy looking truck.

The engine is sweet. It's powerful and smooth. After a few weeks, I'll know more about the gas mileage but so far I think I'm going to average 16 to 18 mpg. Hopefully my estimate will be incorrect.

:D

My only real dislike about the interior is the instrument panel and that there is no easily accessible "tray" or whatever, a place that you can put stuff like sunglasses or change.

I know they have the 6 disc in dash changer, but from my manual, I don't remember any mention of MP3 decoding. I just got the CD with cassette.

oh, if you read your manual, you're not supposed to take it over 55 mph for the first 500 miles

Yeah, that part is a bummer.

a friend of mine didn't read his manual... i asked him if he followed the break in instructions and he said that modern engines don't need broken in.

I recently saw the isuzu version of this truck. Actually, I'd prefer it over the Olds, GMC or Chevy. The exterior is a little like the chevy, the interior is alot like the GMC. Hella better warranty and probably more flexibility on the purchase price than the GMs

Well, the manual says something to the effect that "modern engines don't need breaking in, but to insure long, trouble free life, you should follow these break in instructions" ;)
