So. I now have a convicted child sex offender living up the street.

We have a part-time rent a cop (no recent crimewaves). He comes to all of our volunteer fire dept. meetings. I'll find out from him what I can before I do anything.

He may be glad to give the "welcome wagon" gifts.

<< All it says is he is convicted of an offense with a child under 18 years of age >>

and it should give a date of when he was convicted.

If he's in his 40's - 50's and it was only 10 years ago,

UM... that makes a 30 year old with an under 18 year old .........

I'd talk to the local PD.
You know any cops that live close by, that you could talk to when they are off-duty ?
You might get your questions answered.

Show up to his door with that motorcycle helmet on that you have :D

<< All it says is he is convicted of an offense with a child under 18 years of age. >>

Well it's possible that he had consensual sex with a 17 year old right?

Hopefully you can figure something out or he'll take off :frown:

What's wrong with this picture???

Since when do convicted child sex offenders deserve the right to cohabitate unsupervised with kids..That's like giving a former crack addict a house with crack rocks in every room...

I'd say have a chat with him and bring him the printout. Ask him about it..Tell him you are a protective parent, a member of the NRA, and a firm believer in capital punishment...I think he will get the message.

Really though you don't know the story behind it..Contact the police and ask about him. Tell them he lives in your neighborhood and you have kids. They will probably give you the scoop
