So, I missed a class today

Cogman

Lifer
Ok, so this teacher I have, He is registered to teach in one class room. Well, on of the students isn't able to make it to the class, so in order to accommodate for that student the teacher decided to move into a conferencing room on campus. That was fine, he sent out an E-mail giving us the room numbers and everything, so I could find it.

Now this week, no email, class is not in either places where it SHOULD be, no word from the teacher. I talk to the administrative offices and THEY don't know where the class is supposed to be held.

So now I'm ticked, What kind of teacher changes class rooms without letting his students know where he is moving it too. And this isn't the type of class you can just miss and be ok. It is a pretty intense one...

Perhaps your teacher is lying dead in a ditch somewhere?

When you go to a restaurant on the weekends and it's busy they start a waiting list. They start calling out names, they say "Dufresne, party of two. Dufresne, party of two." And if no one answers they'll say their name again. "Dufresne, party of two, Dufresne, party of two." But then if no one answers they'll just go right on to the next name. "Bush, party of three." Yeah, what happened to the Dufresnes? No one seems to give a shit. Who can eat at a time like this? People are missing! You fuckers are selfish. The Dufresnes are in someone's trunk right now, with duct tape over their mouths. And they're hungry. That's a double whammy. Bush, search party of three, you can eat when you find the Dufresnes.

That would be funny 😛

That's what I'm guessing. The only other thing might be that he sent out an email to the rest of the class (excluding me) about the new class location. Either way, 2 separate room changes, one semester. The school offices didn't even know about the first... Its a little ridiculous.

well, usually they have to reserve a room from the department, to get a key, so that they can hold class. seems like you already checked the appropriate front office? I'm surprised they had no record of where he was at.

sounds like he held it outside. Ice cream party and you weren't invited? 🙁

English 101?

Try CS306, algorithm analysis.

I can pass that without even attending, but you aren't smart enough to even find the class. Oh snap.

Perhaps, however I would find it hard to believe as this teacher ranks as one of the worst I've ever had to take classes from. He requires pretty rigorous assignment, teaches poorly, and the stuff that he does teach is needed to complete the assignments (IE its not just in the book, he writes his own problems for the students to solve.)

Know what I don't do when a class is canceled? Go online and bitch about it.

Know what I really do? Get hammered drunk.

Oh, fair enough. for you sir! Did he give out his cell on the syllabus?

Nope, just an email address. I sent him an email saying something like.

"I missed class today because I didn't know where it was being held. Please let me know in the future via e-mail where you are going to hold classes"

Know what I don't do when a class is canceled? Go online and bitch about it.

To each their own, I don't think class is canceled though as there was no note anywhere and no students around from my class (Generally if a class is canceled there will be a pool of students somewhere).

I just needed to vent a little.

wow, you didn't get the e-mail? it was in the other conference room down the hall.

So did you miss a previous class where he mentioned that there would be a room change. If so, this kind of falls on you. Obviously the other students knew what was going on considering they weren't in either one of the classrooms.

I don't understand why it was changed last time. It makes no sense... changing the room because one single student can't make it one particular week? Prof must be sleeping with that student.

Wait... I'm on to something. This week, prof is boinking the student again during class hours, and since no one shows up you will all get mandatory C's, thereby making the student seem to excel in CS.
